Canyoning Fakistra canyon, Pelion

This is a wonderful canyoning route in Pelion, suitable for both adults and children. It combines breathtaking natural scenery, exciting activities, and just the right level of challenge to keep participants engaged from beginning to end while allowing them to fully enjoy every moment in this truly spectacular setting.

The route combines easy hiking, canyoning descents, an exciting 30-meter Flying Fox aerial crossing, and finishes at the beautiful Fakistra Beach, where participants can optionally enjoy a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear waters of the Aegean Sea.

The meeting point is the parking area in Tsagarada village, located along the main road. From there, participants follow us with their vehicles to the parking area above Fakistra Beach. After approximately 5 kilometers and 15 minutes of driving, we reach the starting point of the activity. Transportation with the company’s 9-seat van is also available.

Upon arrival, each participant receives a personal backpack containing the necessary equipment. We then begin a short and pleasant 10-minute hike to the start of the route. There, the group prepares for the activity, puts on the equipment, and receives a safety briefing and basic instruction on the techniques that will be used throughout the adventure.

The route includes six rappels ranging from 7 to 22 meters in height, as well as a thrilling 30-meter Flying Fox traverse that provides one of the highlights of the experience. During the summer months, the canyon is usually dry or has very little water flow. However, its impressive rock formations, the spectacular views towards the Aegean Sea, the aerial crossing, and the unique finish at Fakistra Beach make this an unforgettable adventure.

The return to the vehicles follows the scenic beach trail leading back to the parking area and takes approximately 20 minutes. This beautiful path offers the perfect opportunity to relax and reflect on the experience while enjoying the natural beauty of the area.
