Embark on an authentic river trekking adventure in the legendary Bolovinaina Gorge, one of the hidden gems of northern Evia. Nestled on the eastern slopes of Mount Xiro, this relatively short yet dramatic gorge is shaped by a major tributary of the Nileas River.
The gorge’s interior remained untouched by the 2021 wildfire, and the access trail is now lush and green again, dotted with young pine trees that symbolize the forest’s regeneration. The entrance is breathtaking, with narrow vertical cliffs soaring up to 80 meters, natural pools, waterfalls, and riverside forests teeming with wildlife.
